This past weekend Heidi, H4 and I had a wedding for a relative in Omaha, Nebraska. We stayed at a Comfort Inn which had a pool, so it was an opportunity to take H4 swimming for the first time. He wasn't too sure about the life jacket we had him in, but once we took it off (and was firmly in the grasps of his dad), he decided the water wasn't too bad.
He's a bit smitten with his cousin Peyton, so she was a huge help in calming his fears and showing him that it was okay to splash around. Once he got past the first few minutes, (and a respet in his mom's arms), he took to it pretty well.
We're (I'm) looking forward to more opportunities to swim with him!
