So yesterday (Saturday) we made our yearly Christmas trip to Bishop Hill, Illinois... Only to find that half the town closed up and was out of business. One of our staple stops was a little restaurant called "The Red Oak". They specialized in swedish meatballs, and the"Toll House Cookie Sundae". Unfortunately, it closed a year ago to the day. No more cookie sundae.
When we got home later that night, Heidi made me her version, which was every bit as good, and actually better... So much so that I had to share a picture of it:
