Yoda Pancakes!!!

My wife made me Yoda pancakes. That's right, Yoda from Star Wars, only as a pancake. Now, some of you pancake savvy folks out there may recognize that this sample should have been flipped over, but his ear started to come off when I tried, so we now just have to live with the backside of a Yoda pancake.

The point is that I was made a Yoda pancake. Not a Mickey Mouse one (which is too easy and does not take a lot of effort... seriously, you drop three round splots of pancake batter in the typical shape of Mickey's head... step your game up people!). She used a metal mold and had to do it just right so as to not let the batter "bleed" into areas it shouldn't be, thus ruining the Yoda image.

My good friend Lindsay purchased the Star Wars pancake molds as a birthday gift. (she is the inspiration for this blog- check hers out... the link is in the "My Blog List"- she is a FUNNY writer!) The package also included a Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper, but unfortunately they didn't make it and will have to wait in the utensil drawer until the next pancake opportunity arises...
